Congrats! You Discovered FDR

During the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “New Deal”, state parks were established. The area that we know as Standing Stone State Park was plagued with soil erosion and sub-marginal lands. Part of the New Deal initiatives was to relocate impoverished farmers and restore forests and heavily eroded land.
