Congrats! You Discovered Cookeville Train Depot
The Nashville-Knoxville Railroad first steamed its way into Cookeville in 1890. The Tennessee Central bought the line in 1902 and built this depot that now serves as a museum. Soon, Cookeville had six trains daily that brought visitors, shoppers, and salesmen to town. Freights loaded with lumber, hogs, corn, and tobacco and grow the agriculture market in Cookeville and surrounding areas.
